In this exclusive Australian appearance our international guest, cellist Tanya Anisimova, performs a distinctive program for 'cello scordatura' or cross-tuned cello. A cellist of great authority and originality, Anisimova was born in Chechnya and now lives in the United States. Alongside masterworks by Bach and Kodaly, she performs her own distinctive 'Sufi Suite', inspired by Rumi, incorporating extended cello techniques and vocalisation.
